Sorry.... couldn't resist!
So. Lifelong Learning. My favorite idea from the first Matrix movie was the notion of the accelerated acquisition of knowledge. I would like to learn like this:
but I don't suppose there's much chance of that, now is there? These 7 Habits get us closer, I guess. I value several of these ideas. Learning by teaching, play, creation of your own toolbox. I was most struck by the "view problems as challenges" habit. It made me realize that I'm comfortable viewing certain problems as challenges, especially if they present the opportunity for me to tinker & try various solutions (bloglines blogroll in the sidebar, anyone? Nice mini javascript tutorial there....) but I'm apt to view a problem as a problem if there's no opportunity for experimentation, or if there's a high risk of damage & the opportunity to make things worse. I'm thinking particularly of my car! Anyway. A great framework for the project. I'm off now to learn Kung Fu...
